Kidepo Valley National Park Tours from Sunlink Travels


In karanoja district far north of Uganda, there is one of the most isolated national park “Kidepo Valley National Park”, located between Kenya and Sudan borders in an area of 1442 square kilometers. Kidepo and Narus rivers are two major valleys in the park ranked among Africa’s finest wildernesses.
With the presence of breathtaking vegetation open tree savannah and mountain landscapes forest which dominates some of the hills that vary much in structure and composition. In Kidepo Valley National Park the only permanent water is found in wetlands and remnant pools in the broad Narus Valley near Apoka in dry season makes the Narus Valley a prime game viewing location.
There are around 86 species of mammals and 500 species of birds. Under mammals category there are lion, cheetah, leopard, bat eared fox, giraffe etc. and from the species of birds category there are Verreaux’s Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, Pygmy Falcon etc. and a big huge lovely bird “ostrich”.  Mainly there are three types of grasses found in Narus Valley – Fine thatching grass, taller bunchy guinea grass and shorter red oat grass.
Uganda wildlife Education Center, Tourism in Uganda are some of the other area of attraction.
